Nusi

Impossible to overlook from a super litter, Nusi is the daughter of our homebred Raina, and is extra special to us as we also have her maternal grandparents, Story and Huncut. The name Nusi is Hungarian for “grace” and is pronounced “nuu-shi”.

A substantial yet feminine puppy with superb bone, Nusi exuded presence from a very early age. She has the prettiest of heads and expressions, excellent wire coat and a “look at me” quality. Top this with an outgoing and happy temperament, full of fun and cheekiness, she is an absolute delight and we’re so pleased that she has remained with us and her extended family at Lanokk.

Nusi thrilled us by taking Best Puppy in Breed then BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at Merseyside Gundog Club Premier Show, her first show, aged just 7 months. This award qualified her for CRUFTS 2022. A week later, at Gundog Club of North Wales Premier Show, she was awarded Best Puppy in Breed, Best of Breed and PUPPY GROUP 3. The following month at Rhyl Canine Society, Nusi continued her winning ways taking Best AVNSC Gundog Puppy, PUPPY GROUP 1 and RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. What a super start to her showing career!

Nusi is hip scored and HUU Clear by parentage.

Judges’ Critiques

“Walker’s Lanokk Nusi – a 10-month-old bitch, oozing quality, well schooled and presented, conformationally sound, good furnishings and coat. Moved well.”
Best Puppy in Breed
Professor David Brigden, Merseyside Gundog Club, February 2022

“She is a lovely example of the breed. She is well proportioned, being slightly longer in body than height from the ground. She has the lively and intelligent expression you’d expect to see. Her coat is of good wiry texture. She holds a level topline and is well balanced and moves with ease round the ring.”

“Walker’s Lanokk Nusi, pretty 7 month girl, good head for her age, eyes still to darken further but this will come, good facial furnishings already, tight wire coat of correct texture, good length of neck into well-laid shoulders, good depth and spring of rib for age, well angulated front and rear, good bone and nice tight feet, moved well, BP and later BPIS, well deserved, she’s a lovely girl” – Breed Judge, Elaine Bradley

“I had a super day with some lovely exhibits to go over, the groups were strong. It was the final movement on which I made my placement decisions. BPIS Walker’s Lanokk Nusi. Presents a clean outline when stacked, balanced feminine head with gentle expression, correct beard and brows, tidy front, firm through neck and shoulders, well proportioned body, with well developed thighs, sound ground covering action” – BIS Judge, Daphne Bailey
