Story

We were joined by Story in July 2017, aged 15 weeks. From the finest French bloodlines, what an exciting addition to Lanokk he is. His sire is “Dante”, US Grand Champion, Hungarian Champion and three years in a row Westminster Best of Breed. His dam Henna is a Field Trial and Show Champion.

Story is a chunky boy with superb bone, balanced conformation, beautiful head and expression, and an excellent wire coat . Added to this such an easy going and friendly temperament, he loves everyone and everything. We feel so lucky to have him and he settled in so easily. He is a real credit to his breeder, Zsofia Miczek.

We always ask people who come to meet the dogs who their favourite is when they leave, and we’re starting to see a pattern form ….. Story! There’s something very special about this young dog who keeps us constantly entertained, what a joy he is. He sired his first litter of nine in August 2018 – the dam being our lovely girl Huncut. We kept their daughter, Raina.

Fully furnished beard and eyebrows with dense harsh coat of good dark amber colour. Moderate length neck with correct slight arch into good shoulders and straight front. well developed chest and good rear angulation with well let down pasterns and strong hocks. Good flowing mover when settled.”
Best of Breed
Lauren Blunden, Gundog Club of North Wales, March 2019

“A male of 21 months, showing excellent substance and quality bone all through, ideally for me I would like a little more refinement all through, that said, he won on his overall soundness and above all coat quality. He had a excellent head, moderately broad and expression, correct, clean and complete dentition, very good coat quality, both harsh and close fitting, well muscled neck into good forehand assembly with close fitting elbows, deep chest, strong loin, moderate hind angulation with good second thigh, feet neat with short nails. Moved very well covering the ground with ease.”
Best of Breed
Martyn Rees, Goyt Valley Gundog Society, January 2019

“Dog with good frame and correct head proportions. Fully furnished beard and eyebrows with dense harsh coat of good dark amber colour. Moderate length neck with correct slight arch into good shoulders and straight front. Well developed chest and good rear angulation with well let down pasterns and strong hocks. Flowing movement driving from strong rear end.”

GROUP 4
Grace Brown, Wrexham & DKS, November 2018

“This dog is well grown, and typically rangy for his stage of development. Head appeals, and he has a super expression. Scores in shoulder and topline, as well as hind angles with good width of thigh. Moves out with accuracy and skilfully piloted by his kind handler. Time will only improve the picture, I’m sure he will go on to great things, it was a close decision for BP as both were great future prospects.”
