Bitch CC winner and Best of Breed, Crufts 2014
Bitch CC winner and Best of Breed, Welsh Kennel Club 2015

We were thrilled to be offered the opportunity to import Huncut from Hungary in December 2011, having for sometime been interested in a totally new addition to our Wires.  She has an exciting pedigree and fabulous parents, coupled with super conformation and wire coat and a confident, outgoing nature. “Huncut” is Hungarian for “impish” or “mischievious”.

Huncut, who joined us aged 10 months, had regularly worked on hunts in Hungary, showing outstanding ability and trained to a high level for her age. She has carried on this keenness on the mountain and moorland where we live, and hunts and points with great style. Quite the entertainer, we love her charming and fun disposition, as does everyone who meets her.

In January 2012, just a month after she joined us, and at her first ever show, Huncut confidently took Best Puppy in Breed at Manchester Championship Show. Two weeks later she was awarded Gundog Puppy Group 1 at an all group open show. Huncut was awarded her first Reserve Bitch CC aged 14 months at the HWVA Championship Show, April 2012. With this she gained her Kennel Club stud book number and is Crufts qualified for life.  Huncut was awarded a Gundog Group 1 at an all group open show, still aged just 14 months, and Reserve Best in Show at an all group open show aged 19 months. She finished off 2012 with 2 x Reserve Best Bitch awards at consecutive championship shows.

Huncut had a break from the show ring in 2013, producing a fabulous litter of nine for us in October sired by our Ostor. We own a bitch in partnership from this litter, Lanokk Dorottya. Huncut’s first championship show appearance after this was Crufts 2014, where she was awarded the Bitch CC and Best of Breed. In August 2014 she won her second Reserve Bitch CC at Welsh Kennel Club.

Huncut is hip scored and HUU tested.

“Most beautiful head and eye, correct ears and superb flow into well laid shoulders, screams quality, lovely overall balance, topline, tailset and moved well here. I thought she was going to feature strongly in the group, but she decided otherwise and played up on the move and threw her chances away, a pity, I really liked her. BOB.”
