Puppies

Our aim when we very occasionally breed a litter is to produce healthy and happy dual-purpose HWVs that conform to the breed standard. Our dogs have a superb natural instinct to hunt, point and retrieve, and this is something we feel is important to maintain. HWVs do make wonderful family pets due to their biddable and loving nature, but it must be remembered that they need lots of free-running exercise once they are old enough, and also mental stimulation. They love to be with you, to entertain and please you.

Our puppies, once old enough, are raised in our big, homely kitchen, warm and cosy by the AGA. Daily they see our adult dogs, a host of visitors, and experience many sights and sounds. They have multiple supervised excursions outside each day, and by the time they are ready to leave us are inquisitive, outgoing and full of confidence. The hard work we put into them is well worth it when we hear from their new owners how thrilled they are with them, and how easily they have settled into their new lives, taking everything in their stride.

If you are interested in a puppy from us in the future, please be prepared for us to ask you lots of questions about the sort of home you could offer one of our puppies, and we would expect you to question us in return and to come and visit us and our dogs to make sure we are the right breeder for you.
